Introducing the new 8524 with PCL 3 (HP RuggedWriter) emulation. It outperforms other dot matrix printers with its print speeds of 780 characters per second, 10 resident letter-quality fonts and 9-part form printing.

The new 8524 connects to your host system with a dual parallel/serial interface. Three popular emulations ensure that it will work with your major applications software.

You may tailor the 8524 to fit your application by selecting from six print speed/quality combinations. The letter-quality mode produces clean, crisp output, while the high-speed draft mode flies through long jobs. It's easy to print bar codes with 13 different symbologies, including PostNet(TM) - just select them from the printer's control panel!

A unique Zoom feature lets you reduce or enlarge the size of printed characters from 66 percent to 1600 percent. Now, you can fit a large spreadsheet on a single sheet of paper or make fine print easy to read at a glance.

The 8524's paper handling system is second to none. A label printing mode minimizes the chance of snagging adhesive labels. Using the paper park feature, you can print cut-sheet paper without removing fan-fold paper, and you can print forms without waste with the zero tear-off feature.
